Secondly . _ That the Court has no
- Juris = diction with respect to matters occurring at kwan chow was or elsewhere within the dominions of the Emperor of Chima, or has it purisdiction to enquire into any matter occurring on board a Macao Porcha the prisoner not being a British subject. Thirdly. - That the prisoner being confinest under a warrant of His Excellency the Govermer of this Colony for the purpose of being given over to the Chinese Authorities, and a Writ of Habeas Corpus having issued frome the Impre
reme Court, this writ acts as a stay to
all proceedings what ever and prevent,
